Arnshteyn Mark
(1879-1943)
   Polish Yiddish playwright. He initially wrote Polish plays on Jewish themes for the Warsaw stage. From 1912 to 1924 he directed and wrote for the Yiddish theatre in Russia, Britain, and North and South America. After returning to Poland, he translated and directed popular Yiddish plays. He founded and directed the New Chamber Theatre in the Warsaw Ghetto.
